A.
Yes, it is. There is no expectation of privacy for anyone on public streets and highways.
Q?
Is it safe to use the service to monitor my teen or senior?
A.
Yes, it is. StreetEyes owners will use the utmost caution when following your subject and will adhere to all local and state traffic laws during the session. Our goal is to be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
Q?
Is StreetEyes a franchise?
A.
No, it is not. StreetEyes is a marketing program sold to individuals who want to own and operate their own business. We give you insight into how to market this idea and give you the marketing materials and business forms you will need to start right away. There are no future fees required to be an owner of StreetEyes. You do have permission to use the name StreetEyes and we will include your information as an owner on our website. You will also be able to utilize or website by directing all potential customers to this site for information on our service.
Q?
What should I do if there is no operator near me?
A.
We are adding new owner/operators every day. Please check back regularly. Since you have interest in utilizing the service, perhaps you should review the “Become an Owner” area and consider becoming a StreetEyes operator yourself – or perhaps you know someone who would be great at this type of service.
Q?
How much does the service cost to use?
A.
We have suggested pricing for all owners to use as a guideline for our service. We suggest a one time cost of $30 per 20 minute session or $25 per 20 minute session if you sign up for a series of 3 sessions. Costs related to operating this business may require owners in certain areas of the country to adjust the cost per session. Please check with your local owner/operator for exact prices.
Q?
How quickly do I receive the DVD of my session?
A.
The normal turn around time for the service is between 1-3 days. You can ask this of your local operator when you book your appointment.
Q?
If I buy the kit, how do I receive my materials?
A.
You will receive a download immediately after purchasing your kit. You can print the information yourself or you can send the files to a professional printer. The files are full color and are sent in both normal and high resolution. You will be able to personalize the forms and flyers to include your contact information before printing.
Q?
What is the return policy?
A.
Because the material is sent to your e-mail immediately when you sign up and pay there is no return policy. Please review the “Become an Owner/Operator" information on this site completely before deciding to purchase as all sales are final.
Q?
Will I need special insurance to operate this business?
A.
Since you will be using your vehicle in this business, you may be required to insure your vehicle on a commercial insurance policy or add business use to your personal auto policy. You may also decide to purchase a General Liability insurance policy. You must discuss these issues with a licensed insurance agent in your state as rules vary from state to state.
Q?
Do you recommend a camera to use for the business? How much does a camera cost?
A.
No, we do not recommend any camera. We do provide links to several cameras in the Operations Manual. You will need to determine which camera you prefer based on the information provided by the sellers. We do not receive any compensation from the sales of the cameras. These are transactions between you and the camera vendor. The cameras we provide links to cost less than $400 each.
Q?
Is a special license required?
A.
In some states, such as CA, it may be. Please check with your state department of consumer affairs.
